One of the most modern vocational colleges in Europe

The Albrecht Dürer Vocational College (ADBK) in the south of Düsseldorf is not only the largest industrial-technical vocational college in the state capital of Düsseldorf, it is also one of the most modern vocational colleges in Europe.

The building was planned and implemented with the architectural firm RKW Architektur +. After a construction period of just 21 months, the ADBK was handed over to the state capital of Düsseldorf and opened in summer 2018. The construction costs for the approx. 19,400m2 site area amount to around EUR 69 million. In addition to the development costs, this sum includes the forecourt, the three-storey school building including a self-study center, media library, cafeteria, auditorium, a triple sports hall and a multi-storey parking lot for 250 parking spaces. 1500 pupils (at the same time) learn industrial and technical professions in a state-of-the-art environment.
