Residential, commercial and cultural spaces in the historic old town

In the heart of Düsseldorf's old town, on the historic Ratinger Strasse, IDR developed an elaborate project from 2007 to 2010 that combines various utilization concepts: Behind the typical old town façade of Ratinger Strasse 25, the attractive Ratinger Mauer commercial property was created, which offers high-quality apartments and office space on the upper floor covering around 2,400 m². On the first floor, the "Schlösser Quartier Bohème", an event restaurant, is located next to the Henkel Hall, which was newly built in 2009. The 500 m², flexibly designed hall is equipped with state-of-the-art technology and facilities and offers space for every type of event. Adjacent to the north of the Ratinger Mauer commercial property, IDR also realized the expansion of the K20 art collection by 2,000 m² of exhibition space in cooperation with the state of North Rhine-Westphalia - a project costing around 40 million euros. IDR's project development also included a new underground parking garage with around 200 parking spaces beneath both properties.
