Eller Castle
Historical stage for modern life
Eller Castle looks back on a long history; it was first mentioned as a castle complex in the late Middle Ages. IDR AG took over the listed building complex from the city of Düsseldorf in 2009 under hereditary building rights and then extensively renovated and modernized the main building in accordance with monument protection aspects. It was equipped with state-of-the-art heating, electrical and fire protection technology as well as barrier-free access including an elevator. When it reopened in 2010, the classicist manor house shone in new splendor - with restored halls and lounges, seminar rooms with modern presentation technology, a rustic vaulted cellar and a prestigious foyer. Thanks to revitalization by IDR, Schloss Eller now offers 1,000m2 of interior space and around 2,400m2 of outdoor facilities, providing a stylish setting for events with up to 600 guests. The former forester's lodge has also been completely renovated. There is now a local history museum on the first floor and offices on the upper floor.
