Reisholz bypass

New prospects for the south of Düsseldorf

In order to facilitate further growth of the business location in the south of Düsseldorf in a way that is compatible with local residents, IDR realized the Reisholz bypass in a two-year construction period and with an investment of 20 million euros. Completed in November 2006, the 1.3 km long bypass significantly relieves the residential areas in Reisholz of heavy goods traffic. At the same time, a fast connection to the A46 and the Reisholz harbor made the business location more attractive and ensured that new companies (including Agility Logistics, Bauhaus AG) and a large number of new jobs were created.
