Spectacular art venue under the Düsseldorf Rhine embankment promenade

Directly under the Düsseldorf Rhine embankment promenade, in a space located between the tunnel tubes for car traffic, IDR built KIT - Art in the Tunnel, a spectacular meeting place for contemporary art, until 2007. The building was designed by the architects Fritschi/Stahl/Baum, who had already provided the planning for the design of the Rhine embankment promenade. Today, works by changing artists are exhibited between the purist concrete walls. IDR AG was responsible for the project planning and realization.
