Multifunctional arena for Düsseldorf

As project controller for the city of Düsseldorf from 2002 to 2005, IDR managed the largest single building that Düsseldorf has ever realized: the LTU arena (now the MERKUR SPIEL-ARENA), a multifunctional arena for sport, culture, trade fairs and congresses. With an investment of 218 million euros, the building was a truly mammoth project, which today offers 51,000 covered seats and 22 VIP boxes for almost 300 guests. A fitness facility with an extensive gastronomic experience, a business club for corporate events with space for around 6,000 guests and a hotel with 280 rooms round off the offer for visitors. The arena was built exactly on budget and on schedule.
