Revitalization of the Former Wholesale Market Site on Ulmenstraße

The development of the former wholesale market site on Ulmenstraße is creating a forward-looking commercial hub in Düsseldorf-Derendorf. The approximately 12-hectare site is being prepared to accommodate modern office, service, and administrative uses. In the long term, the plan also calls for the establishment of additional large-scale commercial enterprises.

This redevelopment will be possible once the Düsseldorf Wholesale Market relocates from the site at the end of 2024. At the same time, changes at the neighboring Mercedes-Benz plant and improved transportation access are opening up new opportunities for the sustainable urban development of the neighborhood.

The project builds on the development initiatives already underway in the surrounding area and helps provide much-needed commercial space in Düsseldorf. Thanks to its direct connection to Ulmenstraße, public transit, and regional transportation corridors, an attractive and highly accessible business location with strong future viability is being created.
